Guthrie Theater Trip

"A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens
The Guthrie Theater trip is an enriching experience and wonderful culminating activity after the drama unit in language arts.

WHAT: Performance of "A Christmas Carol"
WHEN: Thursday, November 17, 2016
WHERE:Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis
FEE: $20 (to be turned in to language arts teacher, with permission slip)
         Scholarship-a  form must be filled out by the parent and approved by the principal.
TIME: Students must arrive at WMS Commons by 6:50-7:00 a.m.
Estimated arrival back at WMS at 3:30. We try to make it back so students can catch their buses home.
Local radio stations will be contacted if we will be late.

Thank you for your interest, but parent chaperones will not be needed due to limited seating on the buses and at the theater.

If you have a transportation concern, talk with a teacher and we will find a way to work it out

Please dress nicely- this is a professional theater: no torn shirts or pants, no hoodies, no t-shirts, no jeans.

Bring a lunch for on the bus, we will eat on our way back home. You may also snack on the way- just make sure you bring enough food.

Please bring screw cap beverages to prevent spilling.

All cell phones MUST be left on the bus

If a student decides to bring any electronic devices on this trip, it is at the student’s own risk. All items MUST ABSOLUTELY  stay on the bus. Any devices brought into the Guthrie Theater will be confiscated by Guthrie staff and may not be returned. The school is not responsible for any misplaced items.

No cameras are allowed inside the theater. The Guthrie does not allow photos to be taken and all cameras will be taken and pictures destroyed. (This includes cell phone cameras.)

The tickets will be assigned according to buses. You will receive your ticket when we get to the Guthrie Theater. There is assigned seating; this is a Guthrie requirement. You may not switch tickets with anyone.
