The Journey Begins
The 24 students and their adult chaperones will be leaving for Misato, Japan on Monday April 13. Check this page for updates about their trip.
Update: April 14, 7:00am
The group has arrived at the airport. The students needed to exchange some money, and then they would head off to the hotel. The schedule is that they will spend the night at a hotel near the airport, and then travel up here to Miyagi by bus tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow they will spend the day touring around the historical sights there. They will spend the night at the nicest hotel in one of the more famous places in Japan, and on Thursday they will finally arrive in Misato.

It is 10:15 pm. We are in Matsushima, Japan. We went on a
boat tour of Matsushima Bay. Then checking into a fantastic hotel -
Japanese style. The rooms do not have any beds or normal tables &
chairs. The floors are rice mats. Styling is traditional Japanese.
Great hotel. The ladies dressed in yukata (summer version of kimono).
Then we ate a formal, 12 course Japanese meal. Next - we hit the hot
